“I Am Not Tragically Colored”: a concert of art songs, song cycles and traditional negro spirituals arranged for voice, cello and piano, celebrating the poetry, texts and compositions of Black composers and poets. Authors include Valerie Capers, Andre Previn, Toni Morrison, Zora Neal Hurston, and Maria Thompson Corley. Angela L. Owens (soprano), Roy Jennings (pianist) and Eric Cooper (cello).
