Join us in the Burke Library’s main reading room (3rd floor) to celebrate the publication of The Arrow Journal's and Union Theological Seminary's Buddhist Studies Program joint special issue, "Movement Dharma: Towards a Buddhist Movement Chaplaincy." This volume includes essays from leading Buddhist scholars, practitioners, movement chaplains, and activists that help us consider what Buddhism might offer our current movements for justice and liberation, and also how Buddhists might organize to develop a more visionary and coherent public voice activism in these times of rupture and collapse.
The event will be hosted by Brooke Lavelle, Union's Buddhist Studies Program Manager and Adjunct Faculty and Editor of The Arrow Journal, along with Michelle (Mishka) Erdenesanaa, MDiv Student at Union and The Arrow Journal's Co-Editor. Special guest editor Monika Son, and other contributing authors will also be present for brief readings and a discussion of the issue and its application.
