Pianist and composer Roy Jennings is the artistic director of Arch Angel Productions, and organization dedicated to the presentation of African-American concert music, with an emphasis on the African-American spiritual. Jennings was formerly Assistant Minister of Music at the world-renowned Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, where he served for twenty-five years. Many of his compositions were created and first performed during his tenure at Abyssinian.
Marvin Lowe has toured extensively in the Americas, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and has sung with the New York City, Washington, Los Angeles and Virginia Operas, and with Opera Ebony. He has sung in New York City Opera productions including Puccini’s Fanciulla del West, Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
