The Choeur Grégorien de Paris is one of the world’s foremost groups in the performance of Gregorian chant. They sing weekly at the Church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris (6th arrondissement), and their performance at Columbia this week is a rare chance to hear them in this country. They will sing a program of Gregorian chant and early polyphony, covering All Saints Day, Advent and Christmas, the Passion of Christ, Easter Vigil, and the Carolingian Acclamations.
This concert is sponsored by the Program in Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
Live at St. Paul’s Chapel — or, watch on YouTube.
If you are a Columbia student, faculty, or staff, you do NOT need to register. (Registration is only necessary if you don’t have a valid Columbia ID card.) Registration will close on Monday at 11am sharp.
